The main reason for this project is to expand the system with new service lines. To achieve this, the following processes must be carried out:

1. The purchase of new trams from the CAF (Urbos) line.
2. The modernization of the signaling system to accommodate the new trams (Signaling).

3. The adaptation of the old trams to make them compatible with the new signaling system (Retrofit).

The retrofit process is divided into 2 stages:

• Producción: donde los trenes existentes ingresan para las respectivas instalaciones y modificaciones eléctricas y mecánicas.

• Puesta en marcha y pruebas: donde luego del proceso de producción los trenes entran para realizar la respectiva puesta en servicio de estos trenes modificados.

Parts & Solutions is primarily responsible for this final stage, which includes receiving each unit, conducting initial tests of the installed wiring insulation and rigidity, configuring various software on the equipment and diagnosing them, conducting different tests for each system as required by the client, conducting final delivery tests for the commissioning of the units after the modernization process, and finally providing warranty support and addressing any post-delivery issues.
